Every design we create together is rooted in strategy. This is your brand substance, position strategy, purpose, vision, mission, values, audience, competitors, and difference in the industry/market. Because the strategy is the root to your brand expression (visual output), Colorway does not offer one-off logo designs. We’ve seen the proof, and know that in order for any business to succeed, there has to be a “WHY” behind the design. The “WHY” is crafted in our strategy development process, which impacts all of the elements of your visual identity. When there’s a “WHY”, there’s longevity. And this is the reason branding is so important.

If you’re reading this, you’ve probably already made the decision to invest in your business. You also understand the value of great design. In general, Colorway packages are priced as flat rates. We know, however, that every client is different. Booking a free consult call is the best way to determine if we’re a good fit. After our call, a full investment rate is provided in the form of a custom proposal outline everything discussed. Most often, our clients projects fall in the $4-$10k range, depending on how much they require. The purpose of branding is to set you up for the next 5-10 years. You’ll have everything you need to increase sales, expand your reach, and cultivate meaningful engagement with your ideal customers.

Colorway uses Squarespace and Shopify to build custom, beautifully designed websites based on your company’s needs. Squarespace is ideal for most businesses and Shopify is best for e-commerce. Feel free to request links to over ten websites I’ve built on both platforms.

We understand working with a design studio is an investment. Generally, we require a 50% deposit in order to secure your spot in our schedule, the other 50% is due when your project is completed. In the event you need smaller payments just let us know, and we can discuss how we can accommodate something more tailored to your needs.

When you sign on with Colorway, the first step is a full consultation. Clients are given a client questionnaire, which gives us a starting point for knowing your business and identifying your needs. From there, we move on to a mood board, where we identify what the Client is drawn to visually. Once that is developed, I do intensive market research and develop your brand strategy, which touches on your target audience, mission/values, and business goals. Once that is approved, the concept-creation process begins. After this process, we both have a very clear goal of where your Visual Identity is headed. Showing multiple design options at this point would be counter-intuitive to the development stages mentioned above. This process allows us to juxtapose your style and passions with the necessary goals for your business’s success.

Many clients do! The first step in our working together will always be branding. This is the foundation of all of our services. Colorway is a branding studio after all :)

From there, we can offer a variety of services. For many Clients, we create print materials (sales slicks, business cards, letterheads, brochures, postcards, media kits, etc). We also do custom illustrations, product packaging design, photography, web ads, social media GIFs/reels/content, art direction, and more. We also offer retainer services for your online presence.

As previously mentioned, the first step is a consultation. The discovery phase starts with strategy (brand substance, position strategy, purpose, vision, mission, values, audience, etc). I do market research, evaluate competitors, and determine the difference your business brings to the industry. Clients are given a questionnaire to help me learn more about your business through your eyes.

Next, we work on developing a mood board together. This is a fun process where we combine what your business needs with your own personal taste.

After strategy development and visual brainstorming, I start the design process.

Once I present your complete Visual Identity, we have 1-2 rounds of refinements.

Next, we typically move on to a print piece, social media templates, or a fully custom online presence in Squarespace or Shopify.

Turn around time varies depending on project scope, as well as client response time. But typically, branding takes 6-8 weeks from start to finish. Add on collateral items (like website design, print, packaging, etc.) incurs extra time. For more details, send a message to hello@colorwaycreative.com
