What I have to say is my take, posted on an unlinked page on a website I pay for. I'm not a journalist or politician. I'm just sharing something I find important with people I care about. If you hate what I'm saying, you can kindly ignore me, or post something better.
When the vaccine rolled out, I was skeptical. I’ve had all other vaccinations, but this one was rushed and seemed laced with politics. It was Spring ’21 and Moderna + Pfizer were set to be in clinical trials until 2022-2023. I’m not doing Ironman’s, but I work out, eat healthily, and avoid processed foods, hormones/pesticides, unnecessary medications, etc. So when folks wanted me to inject a rushed vaccine into my body that was still in clinical trials? Hilarious. Until it wasn’t…
Until a “friend” said I “hopped on a [anti-vax] bandwagon. Mazel Tov." Until another friend of 15+ years stopped talking to me completely. Until we were called grandma-killers, right-wing extremists, and conspiracy theorists. Until kids’ test scores and speech development plummeted. Until countless small businesses went under. Until cops arrested people for praying with their congregations. Until people I love were told "get the jab or lose your livelihood". Until the sick/elderly were forced to die alone, loved ones banned from visiting. Until drug/alcohol abuse and the suicide rate skyrocketed. Until all of the adverse reactions to the vax came to light...All for “safety” against a virus with a >98% survival rate.
Bodily autonomy is bodily autonomy. The same people who want the government out of their uterus told me I had to inject the government's experimental drug into my body or else I didn’t care for humanity. My biggest question was: If you’re vaccinated, you’re safe, right? That's what Biden, Fauci, and Walensky told us. Why must I, a healthy young person, be forced to partake in this experiment if you're protected?
Three women at a Chanukah party last December said “this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. If people would just get the vaccine we could all be done with this.” This MSM talking point was not fact-based, and I told them. The vax does not stop transmission. We all know this now (and last December). But actually, we knew it summer of '21 with the Delta surges in all-vaccinated communities, cruise ships, etc. Still, millions refused to trust that science.
But what do I know? I went to art school, not medical school. My artist brain can't think critically or digest peer-reviewed medical research?
I was told by 4 Jewish organizations that I couldn’t go to their events without being jabbed. I offered to test before each event (which even Biden allowed in his mandate) and only one organization accepted. When the other organizations denied my request to provide a negative test before an event, it was painfully clear they weren’t interested in logic, reason, or safety from the virus for that matter. Just optics.
The majority of people I love dearly are vaccinated. I still respect them and I don’t blame them for thinking this was the right thing to do. Some would have lost their jobs. Billions in advertising and the government told them it was safe and also effective. But I worry for them, greatly, when I see hard data showing a rise in all-cause deaths, myocarditis, stroke, and miscarriages (among many other adverse effects) among the vaccinated.
I once planned on getting it after clinical trials ended. But for those who told me that I didn’t have a right to choose, for those who said I had to comply now “or else”…Yeah, I blame them a lot. They fed the lie. The pressure.
Nearly a dozen of my close friends/family who originally said they didn't trust the vaccine, ended up getting it because of pressure. Pressure from their jobs (!!), other countries, family, or just peers. For the elderly, compromised, and obese, I get it. We now know the virus was quite deadly to mostly overweight individuals with 4 or more comorbidities. But I just want to encourage my friends/family who read this: The next crisis WILL come. All the media cares about is money. All Big Pharma cares about is money. We can't give in to peer pressure. We can't tell other people what medical choices to make. Please remember we were misled by republicans, democrats, the CDC, the media, Big Pharma, and yes, even some with medical degrees. They’ll do it again. Especially now that they know how compliant we can be.
The pharmaceutical industry does not create cures, they create customers.
Please look into Vioxx, the origins of the current opioid crisis, and who paid the biggest criminal fine in history.
